So the last few days have been non-stop. Mr. and Mrs. Takagi had me over for a steak dinner which was the first meal they had with my Grandpa when he was in Japan many years ago. The next day I went all around Nagoya with Mr. Takagi and saw where my Grandparents lived in Japan, where my Grandpa worked, visited a few of their customers, went by the Aston Martin dealership and had an awesome sushi lunch. Since then I’ve gotten to go along with Noriyuki to a few fuel deliveries in the mountains, saw the Takagi’s boats, had a birthday/Christmas Eve dinner with the family and have been treated to some authentic Japanese cuisine and hospitality. Thank you can’t be said enough!
wow, i checked the photos and it looks like you’re having a pretty good time, are you gonna be there into the new year?
Yeah I`ll be here for a couple more weeks then heading to a couple asian destinations. after that ill come back and travel all around japan
What kind of food do they eat there on a regular (non-holiday) day? Do they have grocery stores like we do in the States or do they have more of the corner market where they go more frequently to get things that are fresher?
Where are you staying there?
The food is a lot of rice, raw egg, fish, noodles, ginger, sushi and other asian cuisine like chinese, indian and korean. They have grocery stores and markets, and the grocery stores adapt a bit of that market feel. and shopping malls all have grocery stores and food markets on the bottom floor.
And im staying with Noriyuki at his house and at his apartment in Toyohashi, about 1 hour away. once i start traveling to other places in asia and around japan I will mainly stay at his apartment in Toyohashi.
